Haifa is the third largest city in Israel. It is about 100 km north of Tel Aviv, with efficient train connections. Citizens of most European countries or USA do not require visas for short visits to Israel.
The main international airport of Israel is Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport (TLV). Haifa is about 120 kms away from the airport, and is accessible via direct train or taxi services.

Arriving to Haifa by train – the train station at the airport is located on Level S (the lowest floor) and can be accessed from Greeters Hall via elevators, escalators or stairs. Tickets may be purchased from automatic machines located on Level G. Use ‘Ben Gurion Airport’ for the Origin and ‘Haifa Hof HaKarmel’ for the Destination. The train runs two-three times per hour during the day (and once hourly during the night), travel time is about 1:20 hours and the cost is about 8 $ (one-way).

Arriving to Haifa by Taxi- Taxis are freely available outside the airport terminal. Fares to Haifa are about NIS530=~$155.
A 25% surcharge for night trips is in effect from 21:01 until 05:29 and from 14:00 on Fridays.

 

COVID-19-related international travel restrictions:
Due to the current COVID-19 situation in China, non-Israelis who have been in China during the 7 days prior to departure to Israel, will be required to present to the airline before boarding, a negative PCR test result performed up to 72 hours before the flight. This is valid even if the departure to Israel is from another country.
