Operational Parking Protocol
While the construction process will move us forward, it is currently reducing the number of parking spaces on the faculty campus. This requires us to plan ahead and prepare differently from what we are used to. To prevent misunderstandings with guests, it is important to submit requests for parking permits in a timely and orderly manner.
Here’s everything you need to know:
- The rear parking lot and the faculty’s emergency entrance will serve as operational areas for the routine activities of the labs, teaching, and research units.
- A number of spaces in the perimeter and rear parking lots will be used by various operational contractors and suppliers:
- Equipment suppliers (for the faculty, labs, BCF and animal facility) – for loading and unloading.
- Technicians for equipment repairs, etc. (for the faculty, labs, and animal facility) – entry approval via SAP, according to the process below.
- Construction contractors – entry approval via the project manager/maintenance.
Parking Approval Process:
- Equipment suppliers will enter with delivery notes; no pre-approval is required.
- Suppliers loading/unloading equipment are allowed to enter for the duration of the loading/unloading only.
- Lab managers will enter details in advance through the SAP system.
- The guest invitation screen has been updated accordingly. When entering a guest invitation for a visit to the Faculty of Medicine, an additional tab will open where you must select “Operational.”
- An approval/rejection notification from the SAP system will be sent automatically to the requester and the guest.
- Be sure to instruct suppliers and technicians to arrive in one vehicle only.
