Protocol for Approval of Parking for Individuals with Medical Disabilities (Students/Employees) and Pregnant Students

During the construction of the Kahn – Rappaport building, a limited number of parking spaces will be allocated for individuals with medical disabilities and pregnant women. This protocol details the eligible populations for submitting requests for parking permits in the allocated area of the Rambam parking lot during the construction period of the Kahn – Rappaport building

Who is Eligible for a Parking Permit and What Documents Are Required?

Individuals with Medical Disabilities:

  • Valid disabled certificate from the Ministry of Transport.
  • Up-to-date medical certificate from a specialist physician (not a family doctor) confirming mobility impairment and walking difficulties, and medical certificate of >60% disability percentage by the ”Bituah-Leumi” (Social security).
  • Valid student/work certificate – for at least 3 work days per week at the Faculty.

Applicants must submit their request via email to med-feedback@technion.ac.il  by July 24, 2025. Eligibility will be reviewed by a designated committee. A response will be sent via email upon completion of the review.

Pregnant Students:

Parking in the reserved area at Rambam parking lot will be permitted starting from the seventh month of pregnancy (week 28) until the estimated due date.

  • Up-to-date medical certificate stating the week of pregnancy, including the estimated due date.
  • Valid student certificate.
  • Copy of vehicle registration in the applicant’s name or in the name of a first-degree relative, subject to presenting a document proving the family relationship.

Individuals with existing permits are also required to follow this procedure, even if they possess a valid permit.
