Dr. Ma’anit Shapira is the Director of Laboratory Division and Hematology Laboratory in Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Hadrea and a Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion- Haifa.
She received her Ph.D from the Faculty of Medicine in Tel-Aviv University in 2001, studying interactions between opioid and cannabinoid systems in cell lines. Followed her Ph.D she was a Senior Research Assistant in Rambam Medical Center at the laboratory of Surgical Oncology Research, focused mainly in clinical and basic research of cell cycle abnormalities leading to cancer.
Her main interests are laboratory medicine, platelet function and effects of immune hematological cells.
