Guest Parking Protocol During the Construction of the Kahn-Rappaport Building

The construction will move us forward, but in the meantime, it reduces parking availability on campus. This requires us to plan ahead and adapt differently from our usual routine. To avoid misunderstandings with guests, it is important to submit parking permit requests in advance and in an organized manner.

Here’s everything you need to know:

  1. Guests

Anyone who comes to the faculty on a one-time or infrequent basis. The following groups will be considered guests:

  • Lecturers at conferences/events
  • Instructors in courses
  • Tutors attending workshops
  • Performers
  • Academic guests
  • Exam proctors (exception)
  1. Guest Parking Locations

Guests listed above may park at the Rambam or Semelat parking lots, subject to space availability, and are entitled to a reimbursement via bank transfer (not in cash).

  1. Parking Approval Process
  • Administrative unit managers will submit collective guest parking requests as early as possible via the SAP system.
  • Approval/rejection notifications from SAP will be automatically sent to the unit manager.
  • No reimbursement will be issued for a guest who did not receive prior approval for paid parking.
  1. Reimbursement Procedure
  • The head of the administrative department will submit original receipts collectively at the end of each month to the Procurement and Logistics Unit.
  • Each receipt must include full bank account details, name, and mobile phone number of the account holder.
  • The faculty finance department will handle the bank transfers.
  • The reimbursement will not exceed the daily maximum rate per lot

(Rambam –49 ILS, Semelat – 25 ILS).

  1. Technion Staff
  • Faculty staff are not eligible for parking fee reimbursement. Parking is on a space-available basis per the procedure for parking-related inquiries.
  • Technion staff are not eligible for parking fee reimbursement either. To receive parking approval for the Namal lot on a space-available basis, requests must be sent to: med-feedback@technion.ac.il (parking is subject to prior approval via return email).
  1. Suppliers and Technicians

A separate protocol will be published.
