Department of Computational Medicine

The Department of Computational Medicine is dedicated to advancing biomedical discovery and healthcare innovation by integrating data science, computation, and medicine. Researchers in the department develop and apply cutting-edge computational models, algorithms, and artificial intelligence tools to analyse complex biological and medical data—from molecular interactions and genomic networks to organ-level dynamics and population health patterns. By combining quantitative modelling with experimental and clinical research, our researchers aim to predict disease outcomes, optimize therapies, and personalize medical care. The department’s interdisciplinary nature bridges medicine, engineering, and data science, fostering collaborations that transform biological data into actionable medical knowledge. The department also trains the next generation of scientists and clinicians to think computationally, preparing them to address tomorrow’s biomedical challenges with precision and innovation
