Clinical Associate Prof. Alon Shrim is an Obstetrician (Ob/Gyn), director of ultrasound at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Centre and associate professor at the Technion faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Shrim is a graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv University and completed his residency in Ob/Gyn at the Sheba Medical Centre in Tel Hashomer.
Following his residency Prof. Shrim relocated to Toronto, Canada where he underwent a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine (high-risk pregnancies) and ultrasound in the University of Toronto.
After completion of the fellowship in Canada, he was offered a staff and professor position at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, where he worked for additional three years (2008-2011). During his stay in Canada he directed and led the program for excellence in Obstetrics, “More Ob”.
In the summer of 2011, Prof. Shrim was recruited in order to establish and become the first director of the ultrasound unit at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Centre, and he returned with his family to Israel.
