Dr. Shehadeh is the director of Pediatrics A and head of the Pediatric diabetes clinic at Meyer Children”s Hospital of Haifa, his main research projects are focused on the pathogenesis of type-1 and type-2 diabetes in children and on the effect of oral insulin on gut maturation and development.
The main research topics of Dr. Shehadeh are:
1. The Effect of oral insulin on the development and maturation of the gastrointestinal tract.
2. Pathogenesis and prevention of type-1 diabetes.
3. Phenotype/genotype of MODY2
