 The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology was created in 1998 as a result of a merger of the Division of Morphological Sciences with Cell Biology. As a result, this new unit is the largest academic department in the pre-clinical sciences of the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology is responsible for teaching anatomical sciences (Gross Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Histology, Embryology) and cellular biology to medical students including those of the American Program. Anatomical sciences and cell biology are also taught to Nursing students, Occupational Therapy and Laboratory Medicine students. |
